Current Conditions:
The Jeff is up right now but the flows aren't too far out of fishing range and when flows stabilize and go on the drop after cold snaps the fishing should be very good. The Jeff also drops and becomes fishable for good earlier than some other rivers. For now watch the hydrographs and look for windows when the flows have been stable for a few days or when they are on the drop and you might hit a nice fishable window.

The Month Ahead:
The Jeff should produce some great fishing opportunities in the near future once flows stabilize and begin dropping. The streamer bight will be very good in mid June - think big yellow rubber leg patterns. Dragging buggers and beads will also work wonders. The Jeff is never a high numbers game for trout count.

Long Term Fishing Forecast:
The Jefferson tends to drop fast and can get warm in the summer months. Generally fishing is good in the summer but it pays off to go very early in the morning before water temps get too warm once July and August arrive.
