Current Conditions:
The Ruby River below the dam is a nice early spring fishery. Matt was there recently and had a banner day nymphing. The flow adjusted after a few record warm days and is beginning to stabilize. Expect larger volumes of water more typical of spring and summer fishing from here on unless the area gets put into a deep chill.

The Month Ahead:
Good spring fishing should continue until the river rises in late May.

Long Term Fishing Forecast:
The Ruby should still be a great option for 2012 with a healthy snowpack. Spring fishing will definitely be good. Hopefully the sediment issues from the dam work that plagued the river last season in the summer months gets worked out and we see some good fishing again in June and July.
