Argentina Fly Fishing For The Worlds Largest Sea Run Brown Trout
If you enjoy fishing in Montana you will be amazed by Argentina! In many ways this southern country
resembles the Big Sky state 75 years ago with its towering mountains and productive trout fisheries that flow
across wide open valleys. One of the world's most unique fisheries lies at the southern most tip of Patagonia:
Tierra del Fuego. "The Land of Fire" is home to the legendary Rio Grande and its more recently discovered
Rio Gallegos which hold the world's largest sea run brown trout. On these legendary fisheries 10 pound fish
are just average and 20 pounders are a regular occurrence. Every season some lucky anglers land mind
leviathans that tip the scales in the 30-40 pound range! Our guide staff at Montana Angler include numerous
seasoned international anglers that understand the difference between a good lodge and a great one. We
have developed a close partnership with the premier sea run trout lodging experts in Argentina: Nervous
Waters. Nervous Waters owns and operates three sea run lodges on the best private estancias on the most
productive sea run rivers in the world. One of our senior guides, Sean Blaine manages and guides at the Villa
Maria lodge on Rio Grande. All three of our sea trout offerings are located on massive estancias where you
will enjoy the relaxed Argentine culture. With a return guest rate over 80% and an occupancy rate over 90%
these are some of the world's most highly sought after fly fishing lodges. A trip to Argentina is much easier
than you would imagine with several major airlines providing an overnight flight to Buenos Aires allowing you
to catch some sleep on the plane and arrive in the morning with minimum jet lag. A night in BA is a must and
is followed by an easy flight the next day to Tierra del Fuego.
Kau Tapen: home to five world records on the Rio Grande First opened in 1985, Kau Tapen has been improved each and every year by the de

multiple beats. At the forefront on the list of the world's best fishing lodges, Kau Tapen
boasts nine spacious guest rooms in addition to convivial living and bar areas, and
here guests will find elegant refuge from the conditions out of doors. This
award-winning lodge offers amenities such as massage, sauna and a steam room,
and drying rooms for wet gear. An acclaimed chef and house staff are experienced
and anxious to serve. Fine Argentine wines are chosen as a complement to each
