Montana Angler Fly Fishing is excited to offer our guests fishing vacations with the Gallatin Gateway Inn. This elegent Inn is one of the West's legendary hotels. It has a long and rich history of providing outstanding service to vacationers in the Greater Yellowstone region.

The Inn was built in the 1920's by the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railway to offer visiting tourists a world class lodging option before venturing into Yellowstone National Park. Its Spansih Colonial architecture stands in dramatic juxtaposition to the surrounding natural landscape. The original interior craftsmanship is distinguished by Polynesion mahogany woodwork, decorative beams and enormous arched windows that allow for abundant natural light and airy breezes.

The well appointed rooms offer all of the amenities associated with modern hotels without loosing their historic charm. The Porter House restaurant delivers outstanding cuisine that attracts both visitors and locals every evening.

The Inn is located a stone's through from the Gallatin River for those wanting to do some wade fishing after dinner. It is also perfectly positioned between the Madison and Yellowstone Rivers allowing our fishing guests to enjoy a wide variety of angling adventures.

History
In the mid 1920s, the Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Paul Railway capitalized on its electrified route through Montana, by building a spur line to carry adventurous travelers to Yellowstone National Park. The Gallatin Gateway Inn was built to serve and refresh weary travelers. In an astonishing four months, crews of as many as 500 men completed the 42,000 square foot Spanish-style building. Unquestionably the event of the year in the greater Gallatin Valley, the Bozeman Daily Chronicle claimed 20,000 people descended on the Inn for its grand opening, overshadowing the flight of Lindbergh in the Montana headlines on June 17, 1927. From its advanced fire protection systems to a telephone in each room, Gallatin Gateway Inn was touted as one of the most luxurious and sophisticated hotels of its day. The west continued to draw tourists in increasing numbers, but the railroads ran into difficulty as highway travel improved, and the Inn fell into disrepair. After extensive restoration, the Gallatin Gateway Inn is once again a gracious, full service hotel, offering superb dining and accommodations for today’s traveler.

Dining
The Porter House welcomes you with eclectic versions of the finest meats, seafoods, and wild game available in an unmatched historical setting. The ambiance offers the same comfort to weary travelers as it has for over 100 years. Whether you're wearing hip boots or your Sunday best, comfort and fine dining await your arrival. Dinner is served nightly.
