Montana Wilderness Fly Fishing Trips | Backcountry Horse Pack Fishing

Montana Angler Fly Fishing offers backcountry wilderness fly fishing trips in the summer and early fall. Our guests access remote backcountry fisheries near the border of Yellowstone National Park via horse back. Our partner outfitter and head wrangler Cameron Mayo has exclusive permits to access some of the wildest country in the lower 48. Both day trips and multi day adventures can be arranged for backcountry excursions. Day trips leave from a trail head outside of Gardner, Montana near the North Entrance of Yellowstone Park.

5 day remote wilderness fly fishing trips are also offered. Guests ride deep into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness and spend several days camping and fishing remote streams and high mountain lakes. An elaborate tent camp complete with canvas wall tents, carpeted floors, and cots await anglers. The camp is positioned just north of Yellowstone National Park in a wild and pristine ecosystem that is home to moose, mountain goats, elk, deer, mountain lions, wolves, black bears and grizzly bears.

Custom overnight wilderness fly fishing adventures can also be arranged.
