Montana Angler offers backcountry wilderness horseback fly-fishing trips in the summer and early fall. Our guests access remote backcountry fisheries near the border of Yellowstone National Park and the interior of the Bob Marshall Wilderness via horseback. Our partner outfitters and wranglers are Cameron Mayo (Hellroaring trip, MT lic #10925) and Rich McAtee (Bob Marshall Wilderness trip, MT lic #33514) have permits to access some of the wildest country in the lower 48. Guests on our Montana fly-fishing pack trips ride deep into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness or Bob Marshall Wilderness and spend several days camping and fishing on either the Hellroaring Plateau (6 day trip) or accessing the South Fork of the Flathead to float via raft back downstream (7 day trip).

The Hellroaring Creek Base Camp is located high in the mountains just north of Yellowstone Park. Guests ride deep into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness and spend 5 days riding, camping, and fishing.
