Standard Cancellation Policies
Payment and Cancellation Policy for Montana Fishing Trips
Payment is required to secure a new reservation within 7 days of booking (50% deposit is requested on advanced bookings OR full payment if your trip begins within 90 of the time of booking). For advance bookings secured with a deposit, the remaining balance due will be due 60 days before arrival. Please provide a written notice to us if you need to cancel your trip. Cancellation fees will be applied as follows: More than 90 days in advance of arrival = 7.5% of the reservation total; 60-90 days before arrival = 50% of the reservation total; Less than 60 days before arrival = no refunds or credits. Due to the advanced nature of our bookings we must make no exceptions to our cancellation policy. Montana weather is often variable, trips are not cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
Payment and Cancellation Policy for Destination Trips:
A 50% deposit is required to secure a reservation within 7 days of booking. The balance is due 90 days prior to the trip. Deposits and final payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. Montana Angler Fly Fishing is solely a booking agent for destination trips and does not operate the lodging or guide services. Requests to move a scheduled trip date are the same as cancelling and re-booking. Montana Angler Fly Fishing is not responsible for any loss, damage or injury arising while traveling, fishing or practicing any other activity. Because of our reliance on advanced bookings, we must make no exceptions to our cancellation policy. Adverse weather conditions are possible on any trip and in some situations can negatively affect fishing conditions or loss of fishing days. Refunds are not made if fishing days are lost due to adverse weather-related conditions. If unexpected events such as global pandemics, wars, travel restrictions, etc. prevent the trip from occurring, Montana Angler Fly Fishing will work directly with our destination partner to assist in exploring any deviation from the standard policy, but guests should understand that trip funds are forwarded to the lodge in advance of travel and any deviation from the standard policy is at the sole discretion of the destination partner. If you are at all concerned with a cancellation possibility, we strongly encourage you to purchase trip insurance.
We strongly recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Unexpected events do arise and travel insurance is very reasonable. Insurance on a $3000 lodge package will cost between $100-$140 depending on age. There are many good travel insurance providers, but we recommend Global Rescue as a good option.
